Col Amar Jeet Singh

Principal

Col Amar Jeet Singh assumed the charge of Principal, Sainik School Kodagu on 1 Sep 2023. He was commissioned into the Army Educational Corps in June 2005. The officer was attached to the infantry in the Uri sector at Line of Control (LOC) from June 2005 to June 2007. The Officer is joining Sainik School Kodagu after completing 2 years tenure at Prestigious NDA, Khadakwasla.

Col Amar Jeet Singh has a vast instructional and staff experience during his service. The Officer has been a Class A/B Instructor at IMA, Dehradun, OTA, Chennai and NDA, Khadakwasla. The officer is interpretership level qualified in the Chinese language. He has a 8 years of hands-on experience in matters related to the Chinese language and the Chinese Army (Peoples Liberation Army). The Officer has been instrumental in conducting a large number of Border Personnel Meetings (BPMs) as an interpreter with the Chinese Army on Indo Indo-China border in North Sikkim.

He was the first Army Educational Corps Officer to be posted as GSO-1 (China) in the operational Branch of the Army Training Command, Shimla. The Officer has been responsible in producing many cogent military service papers on the Chinese Army.

Sqn Ldr Mohammad Shaji

Vice Principal

Sqn Ldr Mohammad Shaji assumed the duties of Vice Principal at Sainik School Kodagu on 27 May 2024. He was commissioned into the Education Branch of IAF on 15 Dec 2012. He has joined Sainik School Kodagu from College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad. The officer holds Masters degree in English (Lit), Human Resource Management and a B Ed Degree. Currently he is pursuing Masters degree in Psychology.

The Officer is a Qualified Ground Instructor (QGI) from Ground Instructor’s School, IAF, Thambaram and has rendered his service as a Directing staff at the same institute. He has also teneted an instructional tenure at Airman Training School, Belagavi. He also has experience of handling a Senior Secondary Air Force School at Ambala. He has been awarded with a commendation card from AOC- in- C Training Command, IAF in the year 2022. The Officer is a keen Sportsman and has represented IAF at Command level in Badminton and Hockey. He is an avid reader who enjoys reading books on geopolitics and biographies.

The Officer is married to Mrs Shejina Shaji who has a bachelor degree in Botany and Education. The couple is blessed with two sons, the elder one is Mr Fiaz S Mohammad, pursuing B Tech in Computer Science and the younger one is studying in Class XI at Sainik School Kodagu.
