MES International School , Pattambi was established in 1978 with a view to provide quality education to those who are deprived of it. It is sponsored by the Muslim Educational Society, Calicut and is managed by the local unit of the same organisation.The school had its humble beginning in 1978 with the KG classes being conducted in a thatched shed. Permanent recognition for L.P. was granted on 1 June, 1985 and for U.P. was granted on 26 July, 1993. The school got affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary education, Delhi on 1 April, 1992. The first batch for Class X appeared in 1995 and Class XII in 1997. M.E.S. International School, Pattambi is affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Delhi with affiliation No. 930072. MES school, Pattambi is one of the major CBSE Examination Centre in the Palakkad District wherein about 10 schools candidates are enrolled to write exam every year.Our School is the First school in Kerala with the fully digitalized SMART Class Rooms which was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Mr. Oommen Chandy on 18th February, 2005 in the presence of Jb. E. T. Mohammed Basheer, then Education Minister and Shri. C.P. Mohammed, M.L.A. Pattambi. The SMART Class digital Program helps and improves teacher effectiveness and productivity. It makes learning an enjoyable experience for the students by making the difficult curriculum concepts to life and thereby improves the academic performance of students. It enables instant formative assessment of learning outcomes in class.Another mega event took place on 10th September 2007. Ours was the first school among MES group of schools to get ISO Certification which was received in the presence of His Excellency, then Governor of Nagaland, Mr. K. Sankaranarayanan. Not only that, our school was declared and certified as a Minority Educational Institution by the Government of India via File No. 30 dated August 17, 2007.We have also started Montessori education with a Montessori designed activity room in 2007 which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble M.L.A. of Pattambi, Shri. C. P. Mohammed on 11 June, 2007. Furthermore, Our Prestigious Dream Project ‘The House of Children’ a fully equipped New Montessori Block – a project estimated 3 crores is complete and is waiting for formal inauguration. A new Educational Program called X-Seed has been introduced from last year in classes IV to VII. This has a fully activity based curriculum that gives emphasis on learning by doing which builds strong foundation of concepts and strengthens communication and expression in all kind of learners. This curriculum actively involves family & community in learning and enables regular monitoring of a student’s progress and needs. It uses experimental and research based methods to ensure that ALL children understand ALL concepts at school.We had formally announced the launching of SRP – School Resource Planning Software by KAG Technologies, Chennai, on 14 August 2010 in the Presence Sri. K. T. SANKARAN, Hon’ble Judge, High Court, Kerala. This software is designed in such a way, that the parents can view any kind of reports, about their kids, any time, from any part of the world. Parent’s will be able to log in to the school’s website and would be able to know all details of their child regarding academic and non-academic performance, discipline, achievements in sports & co-curricular activities, Marks of terminal exams etc. Online Payment facility for parents was launched on 15th August, 2011 by the Hon’ble MLA of Palakkad, Shri Shafi Parambil . Through this the parents can pay their ward’s fees through Credit Card/Debit Card from any part of the world at any time.Moreover our school’s management had taken the pain to lessen the burden of class supervision by installing Broad casting system and Close Circuit Cameras in all the classrooms, labs, library, office &school compound which is visible to the Principal, Administrator and Vice Principals. It helps in maintaining the discipline in the classrooms even in the absence of a teacher. M.E.S. School, Pattambi has been at the top most position in the M.E.S. State Arts & Cultural Fest and Sports Meet for the past years and we have been working hard to maintain it. Our students have also shown their talent and ability in the CBSE cultural & Sports Meet.In the year 2011 (November 10 to 13) we had the privilege of hosting the 17th Kerala State CBSE Youth Festival 2011-12 and we received the award for Excellence in Conducting the CBSE Fest 2011-12 from Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education), Government of India.In the year 2012 we received the First National School Sanitation Award from Dr. M M Pallam Raju, Union Minister of Human Resource Development in the presence of Shri K. Srikkanth, Former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team & the Event Brand Ambassador,Shri R. Bhattacharya , Secretary, School Education & Literacy MHRD and Mr. Stephan Helming, Country Director, GIZ.
