A Padma Bhushan awardee, Shri B.K. Chaturvedi, the Chairman, DPS Society and DPS Sector 122, Noida, is a distinguished retired IAS officer. His illustrious career encompasses his service as the Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India, a pivotal role as a member of the 13th Planning Commission, the Atomic Energy Commission and the Space Commission of India and his significant contribution to the Energy and Transport divisions. He was honoured with an Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degree by the Indian School of Mines.
During his tenure, Shri Chaturvedi spearheaded key economic reforms, including the liberalization of the insurance sector for private companies and the deregulation of the oil sector. He also played a crucial role in the establishment of India’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, marking a milestone in the country’s energy infrastructure. He represented India in international negotiations on oil, bilateral trade and energy issues. Additionally, he has served on the boards of esteemed organizations such as UNICEF and UNDP, reflecting his commitment to global development.
An accomplished scholar, Shri B.K. Chaturvedi has authored two books and contributed numerous papers to both national and international journals, focusing on planning, energy, transport and public administration. Known for his astute leadership and sharp analytical mind, he currently guides The DPS Society steering it to new heights of excellence.

Ms. Vrinda Sarup is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with a record of over 38 years of distinguished service, specializing in the Social Sector and Finance. A Master’s degree holder in History from Delhi University, Ms Sarup joined the IAS in 1981 and held several key positions in both the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Ms. Sarup served as the Secretary, School Education and Literacy in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, where she played a key role in the formulation and implementation of major national education programmes. These include the District Primary Education Programme (1990s) and the revolutionary Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the Vocational Education Programme, aligning it with the modern skill demands of India’s youth to enhance employability. She initiated significant reforms and automation efforts in the Public Distribution System, benefiting the most vulnerable sections of the society. As the Principal Secretary, Finance and Technical & Vocational Education in Uttar Pradesh, she contributed to policy development and implementation. Ms. Sarup has worked closely with international organizations such as the World Bank, DFID (UK), UNICEF, European Union and the World Food Programme.
Committed to the cause of education beyond retirement, Ms. Sarup continues to engage in advisory and active roles of many organisations.
