School Visit

You are most welcome to visit BLS World School in Greater Noida West and have an informal discussion with or without your child. This can be done by fixing a prior appointment with the Head of Admissions & Communication A meeting can also be arranged with the principal or any other faculty member that you may wish to see.

Application

Parents are requested to be frank and honest in providing information on the admission application form. Adverse information if any, whether scholastic, medical or behavioral, will not be a ground for refusal of an admission request. Any such information would, in fact, help the school to create a suitable environment for your child, once admitted. Any wrong information or concealment of information discovered later may lead to cancellation of admission.

Interaction

The interaction is as pleasant and nonintimidating as we can make it. It is normally conducted by the Admission Manager, Sports Director, the respective Principal, and School Counsellor (if applicable). We are interested in knowing about the child's/ student's educational development, use of language, social skills, academic enthusiasm and extra-curricular interests. The aim of the interaction is to find out what the student knows, understands and enjoys.

Pre-Primary school candidates, which include nursery to Grade II, are examined by the Foundation Head. This is an interaction, and the child may also be asked to perform some simple activities.

Admission seekers for Grades 3 to 9 have an interaction and a written test. Testing is done for Basic English , Mathematics and Science.

Students are only taken into Grade 10 and 12 if they are transferring from a similar CBSE board school and their direct admission is based on reports from their existing school and an interaction and test.

Admission to Grade 11 is by interaction and written tests in English and stream opted subjects. The candidates should demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements as per CBSE norms.

Admissions during the year

Parents may register for admission at any time during the year and an interaction will be scheduled whenever a place is available.

On being offered admission, parents are requested to pay the one-time Admission Fee and a Refundable Security Deposit within two weeks to secure admission of the student. Subsequently, the student is issued a unique Student ID number. Parents further need to fill and submit various forms and declarations that would be given along with the admissions acceptance letter.

Under his guidance the schools have flourished over the last fifteen years and so has the identity of BLSIANS. Creativity flourishes through drama, music and arts programmes along with competitive sport in many areas including football, squash, basketball, tennis, athletics, archery, skating, swimming and badminton to name a few.

BLS World School is deliberately an Indian International school established in Greater Noida which cherishes our Indian Heritage embracing our student’s identity as a global citizen.

The BLS world school began in 2020 with three sister branches being established in Delhi, Hathras & Greater Noida West. The founders believed that conventional education needed to be transformed for it to have relevance to students’ lives; that in a system focused on deficit rather than capacity, children lose the ability to be themselves and to be free. We recognised that, for education to liberate, it is essential for us to create safe psychological spaces for our children in which they can thrive, embrace their creativity and be truly themselves. We found that the lack of relevance in what was being taught meant that children were compelled simply to comply and train themselves for purposelessness.

We therefore introduced multidisciplinary, art integration, HPE projects that were relevant and had a sense of purpose for our children. We focused on teacher empowerment, on why they were teaching and what they were teaching. That understanding was essential to creating classrooms in which relevant education took place.

In the last 25 years, the BLS Group schools have worked with some of the best organisations, mentors, experts, scholars and practitioners from around the country to create a curriculum that is unique. While addressing the child’s cognitive function, it ensures that the entire being of the child — hands, heart, head and the spirit — is engaged.
