Education Minister's step towards educational relations of India and Australia

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Minister held an online meeting on Tuesday with Barry O Farrell, Australian High Commissioner to discuss matters of education policies of the two nations. 
Both the leaders made a commitment to take forward the educational relations of India-Australia under the NEP 2020. 

The Education Minister tweeted, "had a virtual meeting with Mr. Barry O Farrell, Australian High Commissioner to India. Both sides expressed commitment to take forward India-Australia education relations under the National Education Policy."

The major highlights of NEP 2020 regarding school education contain universalisation of early childhood care education (ECCE), national mission to focus on basic literacy and basic numeracy, no rigid separation between arts and science streams and removal of separation between vocational and academic as well as curricular and extra-curricular.
