The Maharashtra Education Department has recently released a circular that mentions that the government schools across the state will function for classes I to IX and XI until April 30th. The schools have to function on a full-day basis until the end of April in order to deal with the delay caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Education Department has further specified that schools that have completed the syllabus for these classes are not required to remain open until April 30th. They have also mentioned that lengthening the academic year does not mean that the summer vacations have been cancelled.
