ISRO to approach Students for Young Scientists Programme

The Indian Space Research Organisation has recently announced details regarding its Young Scientists Programme or the ‘YUva VIgyani KAryakram’ also known as YUVIKA. The main idea behind the Young Scientists Programme is to make children, especially those living in rural areas, aware of science and space technologies and applications.

Aimed at the “future building blocks of our generation”, the Young Scientists Programme is seeking out 150 students across the country, students that are studying in class IX as of March 1st, 2022. Chalked out to “catch them young”, ISRO believes that the programme will make the students more interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based career options.
