Biswajit Saha, Director of CBSE commented on the NEP during the conclave organised on Friday that, “The core objective of the policy will be translated into action through the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), which needs a more participatory approach. The policy has given freedom for amalgamation of different concepts and multidisciplinary approach. The NCF will give a roadmap for implementation of reforms laid down in the policy.”

The CBSE Director said, “There could be a debate about the training required for competency-based education and learning outcomes but once we have decided we want to do it, it can be achieved with progressive participation of stakeholders. It is a forward-looking policy", he further added, "The policy is in the direction for energising the young population and reframes the national curriculum giving transformation and implementable action plan in school and higher education.”

Saha then said, "Research is an important part of a student’s life and we are catering the same through the education system that will help to enhance critical thinking in the students.”
